The Steak Mafia Dinner #6

Welcome fellow steak lovers!
2009 went out with a sizzle and I hope everyone got a nice Rib-eye or Porterhouse in their stocking. (FYI, I happen to know Santa personally, and he likes a juicy reindeer steak every once in a while.) On November 20, the Steak Mafia convened at Lonestar Steakhouse in Corona. Now, yours truly was a little skeptical about going to a more commercial steakhouse, (they don't even let you spit tobacco on the floor at this fancy place,) and by the time I arrived in Corona after 2 1/2 hours on the road, I was a bit ornery. However, after a schooner of beer (extra points for schooners,) and a few bites of my steak, the road rage subsided. The Steak Mafia welcomed a new attendee, Jeff Anderson, and the FNG was a good sport about wearing the apron. Overall reviews were good, much higher than expected, and everyone had a greasy grin on their face by the time dinner was over. Separate checks were allowed and the every half hour the waiters all stop and join in a song and dance routine (must suck to be them) so they don't take themselves too seriously. Decent effort Lonestar.

Comments:
Godfather: Steak was delicious, not the best but definitely worth another trip, liked all the TVs showing football.

Gil: Steak came well done, (pissed) sent it back, came back rare & good, probably got tossed, stepped & pissed on - but it was good.

Mitchell: great bread, honey butter, schooners of beer!, filet side of the porterhouse cut like butter, for a chain: amazing, attentive service, pale ale on tap.

Kelly: Decent steak. not the best but met all expectations. Don't have to poo though, so something isn't right. Oh wait! I poo'd! Now its complete.

Kris: 1. Presentation- a little bright, 2.Service- wanted to drink my beer not wear it!! and was still charged for it!, 4. Tenderness- Filet was alittle well [done] but New York was good, 5. Side Dishes- steak soup not bad. Wedge salad more blue cheese, 7. Over-all Experience- service ruined what could have been a good dinner

Studio: Big goblet beer mugs were sweet... Cajun spice Rib-eye was fuckin bomb

Matthew: waiter was horrible! If you can't get at least 6 out of 9 orders right, time to find a new job! The steak soup was the best!

Humpty: Had a great time! I love the beer mugs. and the steak was real good, also pumped my bass player, Jeff Anderson came out! Now it's time to get fucked up!

Jeff Anderson: Great flavor of cajun seasonings, cooked perfect! Thanks for inviting me.
